Althea Petal Velvet Powder Review: Your Perfect Setting Powder
If you are a big fan of anything Korean especially Korean beauty products, I'm very sure you've heard of Althea. Apart from them celebrating their 2nd birthday recently in July, Althea has also released their first own product range - Althea Petal Velvet Powder!
Althea's debut product - a translucent powder that sets makeup and leaves a silky finish to the touch. Infused with oil from Althea seeds, the powder keeps sebum production at bay under control without drying out the skin for a radiant, fresh look, all while giving out a gentle scent.
Althea's Petal Velvet Powder is a cruelty-free product and they uses natural ingredients. The powder is made with micro-fine particles that minimize the appearance of pores and fine lines. The powder provides sun protection, anti-aging and is also hydrating to the skin.
The powder comes with a seal.
Just like any loose powder, it comes with a puff. I couldn't stop touching the puff the moment I held it. The puff is so soft and fluffy!!
The powder is white in colour but it gives a translucent look after applying. If you noticed, the holes are slightly big so it is very easy for the puff to hold too much powder. Personally, I'll be very gentle when shaking to discharge the powder. Alternatively, you can use a brush to apply the powder onto the face.
I was surprise how lightweight and fine the powder is, and I like the floral fragrance the moment I apply the power onto my face.
I tried using the powder on its own, and can see that my face looks smoother after applying the powder.
Also, I tried using the powder to set my makeup. I realized my makeup stays longer and my face is not as oily.
If you are looking for a great loose powder, I would highly recommend Althea Petal Velvet Powder for sure! Not only it's a great makeup, but the price is super cheap too! Oh, how much you ask? The Althea Petal Velvet Powder is retailed at RM 16 ONLY! Wow~~ this is really cheap! Don't you think so?
