3B Drip & Dutch Coffee @ Sungai Buloh

22:53 becky-wong 1 Comments

How far would you travel for a good cup of coffee?

We have recently visited a secluded coffee bar at Sungai Buloh to try out their hand drip and dutch coffee - 3B Drip & Dutch Coffee.

Own by Will Jung, the coffee bar serves both hand drip and dutch coffee along with a selection of Korean delicacies.

First thing first, let's warm ourselves up with a bowl of piping hot Samyetang (RM 45). The aroma of ginseng wafted towards us when the dish was served, and we can't wait to take a sip of the soup. In comparison to many Korean ginseng chicken soups, 3B's version is more subtle but the flavours build up nicely with every spoonful.

Ramen in Golden Pot (RM 14.90). Comfort food can be as simple as this pot of Shin Ramyun with egg.

If you are a fan of Korean drama, you'd notice the "constant appearance" of lunch boxes. So, we can't help but to order the Dosirak (RM 16.90) when we spotted it on the menu. The proper way to enjoy the dish is to give the box a nice shake, so that all the elements in the box would be well-mixed. Personally, I find it too messy, and prefer to have it as it is.

It's generally a pretty decent dish, but the meat was a tad lack of flavours.

Everything (RM 88). As the name suggested, they have EVERYTHING on the platter! From smoked duck, onions, egg roll, kimchi and salad... you can eat till you drop!

This is one dish that is PERFECT to be shared. The smoked duck was flavourful but I would prefer it to be less tough.

Gimbap (RM 15.90). Gimbap is supposedly looking like sushi maki, but due to the shortage at their kitchen, they had no choice but to serve it in the form of rice balls. I was quite skeptic over the rice balls as they look very..... simple, but I was surprised by the flavours in it. My personal favourite would be the ones coated with seaweed - just can't get enough of the umami flavours!

Our Ice Cube Latte (RM 15.50) comes with a very cute teddy bear ice cube made from coffee! You can "customize" your glass of ice latte by deciding the ratio of milk, espresso and sugar syrup.

Dutch Americano/Dutch Latte (RM 11.90). The americano has full-bodied while wasn't too acidit, and the latte has a nice ratio of espresso and milk. Perfecto! The best of all, the bottles are so convenient and you can even have your coffee on the go. Now, who says you have to sacrifice good coffee if you are in a rush or on the road?

Last but not least, some desserts to complete our meal! All the desserts at 3B are specially made by Xiao by Crustz for the coffee bar. If you are familiar with the work of Xiao by Crustz, you'd know they have always produce quality desserts that are full of surprises. The same goes to the desserts at 3B.

From left to right:

3B Premium Dark Tart. Coffee and chocolate lovers, this tart is definitely for you. The sweet chocolate tart goes perfectly well with their premium black coffee, which served in a small spray bottle for you to spray it all over the tart. The bitterness of the coffee nicely cut through the sweetness as well as richness of the chocolate tart. I'm a fan of this as well, despite me being a non-chocolate lover. A definitely must try at 3B!

Ttalgi Berry (RM 12). I was super-duper sorry that it would be very sweet, due to generous amount of whipped cream sitting on top. At first bite, it indeed tasted very sweet. However, the sweetness was soon balanced out by the tangy berry sauce/jam in it. Another satisfying dessert!

Basted Cheese (RM 15). I LOVE cheese and this dessert was the one that I look forward the most. Turn out, it was absolutely lovely. A layer of rich cheese sitting on top of crumbly crust balanced out by the acidic apricot jam. This is one dessert that has both texture and flavours!

If you are looking for unique coffee bar that serves good coffee and mouth-watering food, 3B Drip & Dutch would be an excellent choice. Though I've only been there once, I'm already a fan of the cosy environment of the coffee bar. The quiet coffee bar is a nice place for both hang out and catch up with friends as well as spending quality "me time".

On the other hand, the coffee bar didn't have any Wifi during my last visit. So, it might not be an ideal place to work (if you required internet connection). I hope they would soon have Wifi connection at the coffee bar.

C.Michael Aesthetic Laser Facial Treatment: Signature Glow Treatment

21:17 becky-wong 1 Comments

With the New Year coming, are you still looking for ways to keep your skin youthful and healthy-looking? If you answer is yes, I would like to share with you a laser facial treatment that I've been through recently at Aesthetic & Medical Laser by C.Michael London.

I was pretty surprised when I found out they have an aesthetic centre, as I always thought they are just a hair salon.

I like the white and clean interior of the medical centre. Before going in for the treatment, I was consulted by their doctor who introduced me to their Signature Glow Treatment.

The Signature Glow Treatment is a combination of laser (Q-Switched Laser) and facial (LASEMD).

The treatment uses state of the art cosmeceutical system (LASEMD) after the laser session to effectively deliver the perfect skin rejuvenation procedure that accelerates cell renewal, combats free radicals, brighten and strengthen your skin. Currently, C.Michael is the only one who owns this technology in Malaysia.

Why should you go for the Signature Glow Treatment, you ask? Here's why:

1) Safe: Non-invasive and safe for all skin types. Using FDA approved laser and light machines.
2) Fast: 30 minutes including Q-Switched Laser + LASEMD facial treatment.
3) Effective: For pigmentation, pores, pimples, rejuvenation, uneven skin tone and fine wrinkles.
4) No downtime: No swelling or skin peeling,
5) Medical grade: Special and safe laser protocol created by accredited doctor.

Let's start the treatment!!

Before starting the treatment, it's important to cleanse the thoroughly. They were so gentle and my face felt so refreshing after cleansing!

The Q-Switch Laser uses the "Rich-PTP" Technology that shatters targeted chromophore and maximizes PhotoAcoustic effect. The wavelength of Rich-PTP toning delivers deep thermal energy and destroys only selective pigment in the skin, so it is safe for treating pigmentation.

Taadaa~~~ laser done! Unlike many laser treatments, I could hardly feel any pain throughout the procedure. At most, I felt slight prickling sensation when the laser hit my face. I'm very surprise to see there was very minimal redness on my face, despite me just going through a laser treatment.

The advantages of Rich-PTP toning:

1) Provides stable efficacy by equally delivered energy and minimizes adverse effect.
2) Softly delivers energy into deeper skin for remodeling dermis and helps you have clear skin.
3) Provides excellent efficacy on pigment lesions such as freckles, blemish, melasma, hyperpigmentation and complexion.
4) Improves skin on large pores, fine line, skin tone and skin texture.
5) Provides safe and effective treatment.
6) Contains almost no pain and no downtime.

Next, is the LASEMD treatment.

LASEMD is a cutting edge CDS (Cosmeceutical Delivery System) which combines a sophisticated laser system together with its exclusive line of cosmeceuticals (LASEMD Ampoules). The program is engineered to provide an ideal environment for the cosmeceuticals to be absorbed in order to speed healing from the inside out.

What is CDS? It's a method or process of delivering revitalizing compounds deep within the skin to improve overall appearance of aging and damaged skin. It maximizes the delivery of the vital restoration nutrients your skin needs in order to repair and rejuvenate.

Compared to the laser procedure, I felt a burning sensation on my skin and the redness was more obvious. However, I was reassured the sensation and redness will go off within 2 hours after the treatment.

Followed by applying the ampoule after the treatment. Currently, C.Michael is offering 3 types of ampoules - VC Ampoule, VA Ampoule and TA Ampoule. For my skin, they recommended the VC Ampoule, which helps to rejuvenate photoaged and photodamanged skin.

The downtime was really short. It went off in an hour time, and I felt my pores are smaller. One other result I noticed was scars have lightened, and not as obvious.

After the treatment, it is very important to apply mask daily. This is because our skin collagen has rejuvenated after the treatment, and this is the best time to "feed" our skin with as much nutrients as possible.

It is recommended to follow up with a few treatments in order to see better results. Since everyone's skin react differently to the treatment, it is very subjective on how many visit you would need to see results.

Good news to my readers!! Enjoy the Signature Glow Treatment as a promo rate of RM299 by mentioning my name Becky Wong and show them the picture above. The original price is RM1000, so I'd say this is definitely an opportunity not to be missed!

For an effective treatment that has minimal pain, without using anesthesia and no downtime, you definitely have to give the Signature Glow Treatment at Aesthetic & Medical Laser by C.Michael London a try!

Creative Authentic Hong Kong Eggettes: Eggu @ Sunway Pyramid

21:42 becky-wong 0 Comments

Eggettes lovers, Eggu has landed their 2nd outlet at Sunway Pyramid!

Yes, Eggu has officially opened to public in December, a week before Christmas! The stall is located at Level LG, opposite of Brands Outlet. Despite being new, we could see people are walking in to get their share of yummy eggettes at Eggu.

It's eggu time!!!

Marshmallow Choch (RM 7.90). Marshmallow and chocolate is a perfect combination, and it tasted even better with eggettes. Every bite was filled with chocolaty goodness of marshmallow chocolate and crunchy eggetttes!

Starry Night (RM 7.90). Inspired by the twinkling stars in the night sky, Starry Night is a charcoal-flavoured eggettes with crunchy honey stars in every pocket.

Starry Night definitely brought back many childhood memories of mine with all the honey stars in it.

Apart from sweet eggettes, Eggu has added some savoury options into their menu too.

Charcoal Cheese (RM 7.90). Yes yes yes yes, cheese!!!!!

Look at the cheese~~~ too tempting for me not to take a bite! Don't worry if you are not a fan of salty-sweet or cheese. The cheese flavours are very subtle, and the salty-sweet combination is well balanced.

Eggettes might have been originated from Hong Kong, but for something with a local twist, it has to be the Curry Chicken Floss (RM 7.90). The curry flavours weren't too over-powering and it has a hint of heat to it. This is ideal even if you have low heat tolerance.

Honey Green Tea (RM 4.80).
Lemonade (RM 4.80).

After all the yummy freshly-baked eggettes, it's time to wash it all down with some refreshing drinks.

For more information on Eggu, visit their Facebook.

Address: LG 2A, Sunway Pyramid
Operation Hours: 10am to 9:30pm daily
