Kinohimitsu BB Drink

Beauty and Forever Young!! Which girl doesn't want these? I am ADDICTED to beauty products and skin care and whatever in between that can improve my skin. I have seriously sensitive skin and acne problem. and I have hunting up and down for some miracles to could help solve my problem. In the past, we use to look for skin care to improve and/or maintain our skin. Now, we are hearing more and more of the word - collagen drink. There are so many different brands in the market, and I believe many of you girls definitely have tried collagen drinks at some point in your life.

I went online did some research and decided to give Kinohimitsu a try. I was struggling on which range to choose, as they have VARIETIES!!!! Finally, I made up my mind and started off with thei BB Drink.
It's said to restore your skin's natural glow and clarity, and able to nourish, hydrate and rejuvenate every single cell in your body by giving rich, healthful nutrients to promote a baby-like rosy complexion. I was excited the moment I saw the descriptions, of course a few reviews that complimented this drink. I have all the beauty problems in the world, from acne, blemishes, chapped lips and open pores to dull-looking skin. I went on to buy a box from SaSa as they are having promotion (10's + 2's). I had try Lennox many years ago, but wasn't impressed by the results, or I should say, no results. Hence, I was not putting any hopes when consuming the drink.

I followed the instructions given, which was to drink 6 days continously and 1 bottle every 3 days. For the first few days, I didn't really see any results, but by the 6th days I realised that my skin looks better, without and/or without make up. To add on, my skin looks way nicer now when I just put on minimal makeup (without any concealer or whatsoever), and they stays longer. I was thinking these might be my personal opinion, but then just last week my mom complimented that my skin looks fairer and brighter. I did not change my facial routine neither did I go for a facial that week. Personally, I would say that the drink does work for me and I will continue to consume this before I switch to their Collagen Diamond 5300 drink. I plan to finish up another box of their BB Drink before I start pumping collagen into my system.

Will definitely write up another review after I've tried their Collagen Diamond 5300 drink. In conclusion, I am very very excited to try out Kinohimitsu other range. ^^

Cielo Dolci - Interesting Flavors

"People nowadays are looking for something with an edge, they are always searching for something different...."

That was my statement few weeks ago when I was talking to my boyfriend. I've always notice that as years gone-by, we are looking for the edgy and differences not only in fashion, but also the food or gourmet that we consume. Last week in my window shopping-spree in Paradigm Mall (in Kelana Jaya, Petaling Jaya), it once again confirmed my statement.

We were about to to leave the mall, and we passed by a gelato shop name "Cielo Dolci".

"Cielo Dolci, pronounced as “ceh-lo dol-chee” , means heaven’s dessert, in Italian. It embodies the very essence of our Dolce Freddo Artigianale (artisanal frozen desserts). We handcraft our Dolce Freddo with much passion; creating heavenly flavours with cloud-like smoothness. Fusing Italian techniques with local flavours, we bring you the best of both worlds."

I am very very adventurous when it comes to food, the weirder and out of the earth they are, they more I would LOVE and WANT to try them!! I got all excited when I saw their daily special written on their board - Salted Calamansi, Nasi Lemak, and Cempedak! Finally, some gelato flavors that gets my palates all excited!

Whacky daily specials ^^

Without a second thought, I requested to have a try on their nasi lemak gelato. I must say, who ever thought you  can have savory in dessert, and personally, it tastes weird but in a good way! Hey....I'm not the only one that thought so, judging by how fast the gelato is finishing, I would say there are definitely a lot more people that find this flavor interesting. The moment I put the tasting spoon inside my mouth, I could taste the aromatic sambal (for those that not sure what's "sambal" is, it is a cili paste that is usually used as a condiment), anchovies, and toated peanuts. All these one of the kind flavors in cold gelato!! How whackyis that??!!! ^^

I myself thought I would order their Nasi Lemak, but due to my extreme curiosity, I've decided to try out their other flavor - Salted Calamansi. I was kind of worry that the calamansi going to be too sour, so in order to balance out the potential acidity of the gelato, I had it with their Mango Sorbet, hoping that the sweetness of the mango sorbet would bring down the acidity a little. In fast, I made the right decision. The mango and calamansi go well together. Personally, the acidity will be too powering if I have the calamansi solely, and the mango sorbet will be too sweet for me if I did pair it with other flavors.
Left: Salted Calamansi; Right: Mango Sorbetto

Hey folk!! If you are one of the adventurous foodie, go to "Cielo Dolci" in Paradigm Mall (located at the LG, opposite Papparoti).

Hoodia P57 - Slimming Pills

Recently I have been researching on a few slimming/diet supplements, and I've heard of the name "Hoodia P57". I went online to do some research on this "Hoodia P57", and found out that it works as a appetite suppressant. As quoted from their website :

".......It contains a compound called, "P57," which is a molecule that is said makes you feel full. The P57 molecule is estimated to be more potent than glucose in sending the signal to the brain that tells your body it is NOT hungry......."

Also, on their website stated that the consumers would not experience the following:
  • No Shakiness
  • No Stomachaches
  • No Headaches
  • No Come Down
  • Non Addictive & Non-Habit Forming

I was actually actively looking and HUNTING for a slimming/diet supplements that REALLY work!! I have been going to gym (well....sometimes on and off due to laziness and work and some others errands....), however, due to my appetite my weight just doesn't seems to be under control, and I'm starting to grow unwanted fat at unwated areas T___T. Hence, when I came across this products I went on to do further research and I've seen several good reviews on Hoodia P57. Without second thoughts, I bought some to try for myself and my bf too! I've been taking one pill per day for almost one week, and I must say, I do see results. Especially around my tummy area, I've definitely lost some fat at my tummy area. I was excited to find that I'm able to find into certain pants a bit easier!!

With all these results going on, I've decided to do slightly more research on the pills. Out of my expectation, I found an article from the FDA website. For those of you doesn't know what FDA is, it stands of US Food and Drugs Administration. FDA will examine and re-examine on all the drugs that are going into the market and/or drugs and food and others that are already in the market. Their purpose is to make sure the food, drugs and products going into/and or already in the market are safe for the consumers, and they do not contain any harmful ingredients. OK! Back to what I was saying earlier, I saw an article on the FDA website warning the consumers NOT TO CONSUME these pills, as it contains undeclared drug ingredients, that will may be life threatening. I was shocked and kind of in a dilemma now. My sane side is telling me that I SHOULD STOP TAKING THE PILLS - even though they really work on me, but my crazy side is still struggling, maybe is okay if I just finish what I've bought.

Haizzzz.......... Conclusion, I'm still figuring out what should I do to my remaining pills. Why not you readers be the judge of it? Should I continue with the pills? Or should I stop consuming them?

    Stalactites, Melbourne

The weather has been pretty hot and humid recently, and this makes me miss Australia more!!! Been to Australia a few times, and I especially like their winter in Melbourne. Many of you would think that I'm mad, as whoever stasys or been to Melbourne would know that the weather there is very unpredictable. It could be chilly at one moment and hot the next moment. Well... maybe I am a lil crazy, because I miss the raining days in Melbourne during their winder time!! Hahahaahaha!! I think the hot and humid weather in Malaysia is really getting into me! LOL

Apart from the cold weather, one of the thing I missed is a Greek restaurant in Melbourne called "Stalactites". It is located in Russel Street, and is a very famous restaurant in the city.

    Moussaka
My brother brought us there last year while we went for his convocation. The pricing there is reasonable and the food is YUMMY! We were there kinda early for dinner, but there was already a queue outside the restaurant, and we were waiting outside under the cold weather in the evening. *Cold~~~~~* Finally when we were being seated my stomach was protesting and I almost told the waiter to give us one each of their entire menu. I felt that I could have swallowed a cow! Luckily my senses were still there and I did not go that insane. We ordered their grilled lamb and chicken, mousakka and salad.

    Grilled lamb and chicken

Bread use to wrap the meat.. yummy!!!

    Chips

    Salad with chesse and olives

    Decanter @ PJ

Last night, after a whole day hanging out in KLCC with my bf, we decided to come head back to PJ area for our dinner. As usual, we will always have to think where and what kind of food to feed our hungry stomach. Suddenly, my bf suggested a restaurant named 'Decanter'. I've never been to the restaurant and since it's kinda on our way back (it is located near seksyen 17), so we ended up at the restaurant.

When we arrived at the restaurant area, due to some construction going on nearby, the area looks a bit dark. If anyone of you knows where is the French restaurant is, Decanter is just located right behind it.

Decanter has the kind of cozy and family ambiance. It makes you feel comfortable and relax. The waitress and waitresses were very friendly too. Due to our hunger, we quickly decided to order a beef stroganoff (because they ran out of lamb curry), Indonesian fried rice (yes!!! It is fusion-kind-dinning-area) and half dozen of escargot for starter.

Escargot in creamy sauce with Garlic Bread
I was very excited to try out their escargot, since it has been centuries I've had one!!! So I was kinda disappointed when they serve the escargot. I was expeting 6 beaufully baked ecargot still intact in their shells, not 6 de-shell escargot cooked in creamy sauce. Hmmmm...... Apart from the tiny disappointment, the escargot was delicious. I love creamy sauce and gravy, but there are times they get too creamy and just turn me off after a few spoon of the dish. The sauce in Decanter suits me just nice. It is creamy enough that just keep you going for them!

As for the main dish of the night, my boyfriend ordered their beef stroganoff. It was served with white rice and frozen mixed vege by the side. Personally I never appreciate frozen peas and carrots. I like my side vegetables to be cooked fresh. Hence, I don't care much for the sides. However, it is a whole different story for their beef and gravy. The meat was tender and the gravy wasn't too heavy. Yummy!!!!!

I decided to go Asian and spicy for the night, hence I've tried out their Indonesian fried rice. You must be thinking "What?!! Having fried rice????!!!" Yes! HAHAHAHA!! As expected, their fried rice was spicy, and it gets spicier with every bites but not to the extend that a normal palettes can't handle. With that being said, I still wouldn't recommend to someone that have a weak palettes, as in diners that can't really handle spicy food. However, if you are someone that LOVE spicy food like me..do give this a try!

Update and Review on Leptin Green Coffee

In my previous post I've mentioned that I decided to try out on the Leptin Green Coffee 1000. So far, I'm already had 5-6 boxes of the coffee. It could be me personally, but I do not really see the results as mentioned in the internet. I'm not too sure is it because my diet or my body tends to absorb much slower than others.

However, one thing that the coffee works on me is that, it really suppress my appetite. I used to get hungry every 2-3 hours and must, I mean MUST have at least 4-5 meals a day!!!!!!!! Scary....I know!!!! This is the main factor that my body weight just went up and out of control!!! But after I start taking the coffee, I started cutting down on my food intake, and the frequency of me eating and getting hungry does really reduced. Before this, after having my lunch 1pm, I'll start to feel hungry about 3+pm and gets really hungry after awhile. Ever since I've started on the coffee, I'll only start to feel hungry about 4-ish pm /5 pm. Does this consider normal??? Hahahaahahaa!!!!!

Anyway, the purpose of this post is to share my thoughts after drinking the coffee. I've seen a lot of people researching on this product, and I've decided that I should at least have some contribution in it. In conclusion, no harm giving the coffee a try (after all, I think there are quite a few online vouchers selling them). It might not really helps you slim down, but I think it does help in suppressing your diet and appetite. After all, one of the main factor is slimming is to controlling your diet.

Yuniku Japanese Restaurant @ Jaya One

Had been some time since I had Japanese buffet. Last Friday, my colleagues and I decided to try out the Japanese buffet dinner in my office area - Yuniku Japanese Restaurant at Jaya One. The price was RM50/pax, and so we decided to give it a try since it is not too pricey. Given the price, the spread was relatively satisfying - although there were no Unagi but there were Sashimi and Sushi!!

First of all, I started off with my favourite appetizer - baby octopus, pickled jelly fish, pickled scallops and fried prawn.  Overall, the appetizer were not bad. ^^

From top clock-wise: Pickled Scallops, Pickled Jelly Fish, Fried Prawn and Baby Octopus

Next, I moved on to another of my big time favourite - Sushi, Sashimi and Fresh Oysters! One can NEVER and I mean NEVER NEVER skipped all these freshly served raw seafood during a Japanese meal. Although their raw fish and oysters were not super duperly fresh, but for a place in Jaya One and the price we were paying, it was consider kinda decent.

Salmon and Tuna Sushi balls (ain't them cute??), and Fresh Oysters
From Left to Right: Salmon, Tuna and Butter Fish Sashimi
More Sushi balls and Inari and Ebi and Maki ^^
Next stop... to fill our hungry stomach with their cooked dishes - tempura, teppanyki, sukiyayi, edamame and etc. Due to I am more of a raw meat person, I actually perfer my food to be as simplified as possible. After all, when the ingredient are fresh and awesome, why ruin it by adding on unnecessary stuff? We should just let the ingredients speak for themselves. ^^ Hence, I was only busy attacking their edamame.

MORE cute sushi balls and edamame!! Next to it is some Unagi Fried Roll
My colleagues had their Fried Rice (Garlic Fried Rice i think), and they said that it was nice. I did not have their rice as I'm not a big fan of garlic or rather, I perfer not to consume any rice during buffet (in order to eat more... =p).

Fried Rice along with Prawn Tempura
We also tried their other spread such as grilled salmon, teppanyaki, sukiyaki, chawanmushi, Soft Shell Crab Handroll, and some dessert.

    Assorted ^^
    Clamps... Teppanyaki style
    Beef Sukiyaki

    Chawanmushi

    Teppanyaki clamps, beef and squid

    Soft Shell Crab Handroll

    Red bean Dorayaki

Hand-made Coffee and Chocolate Ice Cream for dessert

      Fresh Mangoes

It was a satisfying night with lots of laughters with a bunch of nice and crazy but fun people. Always looking forward for our next hang out! ^^

Total bill of the nite for 7 pax

Updated 28/09/2014: This restaurant has closed down.

    CRIMES

Once upon a time, people have trust in each other; care for each other. Unfortunately, all these has changed drastically. It has happened in many countries in the world, and now it's happening in our very own land - Malaysia.

Recently, whenever I check my Facebook, with no surprises I'll read news about someone got mugged or robbed. These crimes have been around for ages, however, what is going on now is more than just a crime. It looks more like an organize crime. From carpark inside the malls to outside the malls, and now... It had escalated to taking place OUTSIDE of the victim's house.

We have been educated since young to lend a helping hand to the poor and needy. However, people has abuse this kindness, and take advantage on it by conning and snatching and robbing and other what nots. Those were the good old days where you will just give someone a lift without thinking twice because their destination is just around the corner; those were the days where you will stop and help out someone who seems lost and asking for directions.

Worst of all, even people don't feel save while driving in their car. No more the luxury of enjoying the music or songs while driving and relax; but we have to put our guard up every second and every minute. Worry that someone will just drive through on a bike and smash the mirror, in order to snatch whatever they can grab from the car.

I've heard many statements saying that people nowadays are cold and don't bother. Are we really that cold blooded inside? Are we really that heartless and emotionless, so far so that we don't care about the others around us? Or are we just too scared of what might happened to us, if we have mistakenly help out the so-called-helpless-looking people? Where are the trust that GOD has gave us as a gift? Where is the ability of us to feel sympathy and empathy to the less fortunates?

I've always believe the one thing that separate us from animals are, human ability of being able to sympathize and able to differentiate right from wrong. Unfortunately, with he recent events taking place, almost on a daily basis, I shall say that the little faith that I have in mankind is drifting away.

The final debating question is, are we, the human being, really that bad to the core?

These are a few cases that has happened recently! There are many many many many countless more cases, in fact!

Red Meat Delicacies - Jake's Charbroil Steaks

Been ages since I've updated my blog..laziness...omg!!!! LOL!!! Been having some nice eating out for the past few weeks, from Western to Korean to Thai BBQ. One of the things that can really cheer me up is FOOD!!! Lots of lots of nice food!!

One of my "most satisfying" eat out was going to Jake's Charbroil Steaks at Medan Damansara, very near to Bangsar.

Jake's is so far my the most favourite steakhouse. Been there a few times and never once they failed my in my all time favourite - Medium Rare Steak!!!

    Lobster Bisque garnished with Caviar
We started the dinner with a bowl of lobster bisque.I am a soup person, be it creamy-type or not! I've tried their Oxtail Soup previously and that was delicious. So, this time round, decided to just ask for their soup of the day and give it a try. In short -  I LOVE IT!!! The sweetnest of the lobster and the creamy of the soup, just made me want to have few more bowls!!!

I had their tenderloin cook to medium rare. I always like my steak to be nothing more then medium rare, and the juicy blood oozing out from the meat, the moment I slice it up! Yummy!!! Too bad I do not have a clear picture of my steak. Only if I have a clear picture to show you guys how pink/red inside of the meat was. Many people will have the impression that raw or almost-raw meat are hard to cut and chew. I've tried steak in many different restuarant, and always order them to medium rare. I believe whether the steak are tender to bite into or not, it all depends on the chef - did they choose the right meat? Is the meat itself already too old? Is the meat the right cut to be served rare or medium rare? Did the chef slice the meat correctly? All these are few of the factors that contribute to a soft and tender piece of meat.
