Wild Coffee Asia @ Bandar Puteri Puchong

Frankly speaking, Puchong is a place that I'd avoid at all cost. Why? The traffic situation there is really crazy. However, over the weekend, Joe and I braved ourselves through the traffic and paid a visit to the Wild Coffee Asia at Bandar Puteri Puchong, in courtesy of their invitation to try out their food.

The interior was simple and spacious. This means the patrons will be getting their privacy while dining, and I like this a lot. The ambiance was really friendly too, especially the staffs. I noticed there were quite a few families enjoying their meal, and it seems like a family-friendly café to hang out. There's a book shelf of you'd like to do some reading while waiting for your food to be served.

They serve fusion Japanese cuisine. I was a bit confuse when flipping through their menu, because they have dishes such as Italian, Western, Korean and etc.

Apart from your usual coffee options, you can opt to brew your own coffee at Wild Coffee Asia. I've yet to try out their Turkish Coffee but would like to pay them another visit to try this out.

Since it was our first visit, we decided to go with their recommendations.

Wild Beet Soup (RM 18.50)
Joe and I both love the Wild Beet Soup (RM 18.50). The soup was served with generous chucks of beef and vegetables, top homemade sour cream. The vegetables were tender, and the sour cream added some acidity to the soup which boost your appetite. Unfortunately, I wish the beef were more tender. It felt a bit too tough for my liking. Personally, I felt that the portion was just nice for 2 person (considering you'll be having your main course); unless you have a big appetite.

Angry Bird (RM 18.90)
The Angry Bird (RM18.90) - grilled chicken chop marinated in kimchi sauce served with tamago and coleslaw. Despite marinated in kimchi sauce, it doesn't that sourness which you'll normally taste from kimchi. In fact, the chicken was flavourful and juicy. Another dish that we both enjoyed a lot. However, I could do without the tamago. I find them to be a little dry.

Aslamfu Beef (RM 18.90)
I've never heard of aslamfu until now. The Aslamfu Beef/Chicken (RM 18.90) was a refreshing dish to order during a hot weather. It's spicy cold cooked noodles with sauce, shredded starch, egg and vegetables. Combine and mix all the condiments, and you have yourself a nice cold noodle dish. The noodles were homemade, and the sauce was really flavourful. You can adjust the spiciness to suit your taste by requesting them to add or go easy on the chili. Personally, I'd prefer mine to be really spicy!

Iced Latte (RM 9.50)
Hot Mocha (RM 9.95)
Both Joe and I really need our daily caffeine fix, so we both ordered ourselves some coffee. The coffee were not too bad, but my mocha was warm rather than hot when served.

Check them out for their international breakfast, high tea or lunch and dinner set meals.

Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and we enjoyed the food a lot.

The place is available for private functions, company or events.

    1. Yep! I'll consider returning to the place. But because of the bad traffic, I'll have to plan something else to do there apart from just grabbing a meal.

  17. That wild beet soup looks amazing... The deepest red with a dollop of cream. The traffic you describe sounds like Los Angeles. Ugh! Lovely dining place.
