[Review] Maybelline White Superfresh UV Cake Powder

I'm sure you are familiar with the name Maybelline, and you'd probably have seen their latest product on their display shelve - Maybelline White Superfresh Long Lasting UV Cake Powder SPF34 PA+++! Thanks to Lion & Lion, I was given a chance to try out this product.

I like the packaging a lot - simple and clean.

The shade I was given was 02 Nude Beige. I was a little worry the shade might be too dark for my skin, as I usually go for natural or light. To my surprise, it work just fine on me. Personally, I felt the horizontal design (wider mirror) ease up application while looking into the mirror.

How good is this cake powder? It claims to:
  1. Leaves behind an ultra-smooth surface on the skin
  2. Speed up sweat drying and evaporation so skin remains clean - no longer need touch-ups!
  3. Long lasting freshness and UV protection up till 12 hours
  4. Pores don't get clogged up with its lightweight formula
So, how do I feel about the product?

I like how light-weighted the powder is on my skin. I could barely feel that I have apply on make-up.

My skin has smoothen out, and the coverage was actually quite good. It managed to cover up my acne scars. The best part is, my skin did not feel oily end of the day, and I hardly need to do my touch-ups. This has now officially became my daily make-up must have!

The price is at RM23.90/9gm, and refills at RM11.90. You can get in most pharmacies nationwide.

  2. After reading your view point, I have somewhat a worry about picking a wrong shade. I have a kind of tan skin tone and I picked a nude beige one and not the honey instead. Bcoz when I tried it on the back of my arm, the honey seemed to be a lot dark yellow and the sand beige seemed to be pink. So I went to Nude Beige. Though I haven't tried it out on my whole face, but I just frightened out. :(
