Chocha Foodstore @ Petaling Street, Kuala Lumpur

After hopping cafes around Klang Valley for some time, you will realize that most cafes either serve the same type of food or having very similar interior. The excitement tends to go away and you probably won't remember most of the cafes you have visited. About a month ago, my friend and I dropped by a new cafe, Chocha.Foodstore - a casual and comfort place to enjoy Asian with a twist.

(Sorry for not taking the environmental shoots..... >.<)

Opted for a pot of Darjeeling Autumnal Red Thunder (RM 16). The tea is a little chocolaty with a hint of spices note. If you are into mild tea, this fresh and liquorice aftertaste will be perfect.

Cucumber Salad (RM 15). A plate of crunchy and refreshing Kyuri cucumber, green apple, semi-dried tomatoes and lettuce with Cumin vinaigrette. The sweet and sour combination if very very very appetizing!

Chinese Pesto Flat Noodle (RM 20). Homemade noodles tossed in nutty ulam pesto, charred capsicum, semi-dried tomatoes, peanuts and sesame seed. Personally, I felt the dish was a tad dry.

If you are looking for something spicy, the Biang Biang Inspired Noodle (RM 16) is something worth a try. Despite the Sze Chuan chili oil and mixed spice, the spiciness wasn't too over-whelming.

For dessert, they only had Ulam Raja Creme Brulee, but unfortunately, they ran out of the creme brulee when we were about to order.

Some might feel that the pricing is slightly on the higer side; but for a cafe in KL city centre, the serene and comfy Chocha.Foodstore is a nice place to hang out.
