The ampoule comes in a sturdy glass jar and thanks to its dropper design, it is very easy to dispense and control the amount of ampoule. I was a little surprised by the size of the ampoule, as they usually come in smaller size.
The ampoule has a thick watery texture and a little does go a long way. Just a drop or 2 is sufficient to apply the entire face. As SHO has claimed, the ampoule does absorb into the skin fairly quickly, despite the thick consistency. I was a little worried that the ampoule would be too rich for my skin, but it turns out my skin is loving it! My skin is looking healthier and plumper. Also, I noticed I have less breakouts compare to before, and my acne scars are healing faster too.
There are a few ways that you could optimize the use of the ampoule:
1. Ampoule + Foundation/BB Cushion
For those of you who want to have a dewy look or increase the hydration of your skin, add a few drops of ampoule into your foundation or BB Cushion. I heard about combining skin care and foundation for the longest time, but this is my first time trying out. I started out with 2 drops of ampoule and work my way up.
It does give the skin a dewy look, but somehow it is now working for the BB Cream I'm using. Somehow my foundation just couldn't stay. However, I also understand this method only work for some foundations/BB cream. So, do experiment and play around to see which one work for you.
2. Ampoule + Moisturizer
If you find your skin to be exceptionally dry or scaly, try mixing the ampoule with your moisturizer, and use this as a sleeping mask. This way, it would help to lock in and seal all the moisture in the skin and prevent any water loss. This is my favourite way of using the ampoule. Not only it saves me time, but I noticed my skin looks and is so much healthier. On top of this, my skin appears to be less oily too!
If are not sure how your skin would react, I would suggest you go easy this. Probably want to start with a ratio of 1:1 and observe.
