Over the weekend, my brother and I took our parents to Graze at Hilton KL for a nice mother's day dinner. Graze is a modern European restaurant offering classic dishes using fresh and seasonal produce. The place is very cosy and I like the open kitchen, where you can see all the actions going on in the kitchen when you enter the restaurant.

In conjunction with the special occasion, they had a Mother's Day set meal but we opted for the ala carte instead.

Some bread to munch on before our dinner.

Vegetables and Aioli Dip
If only I could have more cucumbers to dip into the aioli!

Seafood Fritto Misto with Spicy Aioli (RM 38)
The Seafood Fritto Misto with Spicy Aioli (RM 38) came with deep fried seafood such as prawns, squid and fish. They were well seasoned and fried to perfection. Despite it stated "spicy aioli" on the menu, it's not spicy at all. This is a very addictive appetizer, and I wish I could have more squid!

Spicy Linguine Seafood Aglio-Olio (RM 48)
I wasn't a fan of the Spicy Linguine Seafood Aglio-Olio (RM 48). The pasta dish came with fresh snapper, prawn, squid and mussels; but I felt the pasta was slightly overcooked and it somehow weirdly reminded me of Ulu Yam Loh Mee. It's weird, right?!

Duck Leg Confit (RM 68)
On the other hand, the Duck Leg Confit, Lentil Du Puy and Mushroom Ragout (RM 68) was a satisfying dish. It's crispy on the skin but moist on the inside. The gravy was so flavourful and I especially liked the spinach as it absorbed all the goodness of the gravy!

Roasted Chicken in Spanish Style (RM 62)
If you don't mind waiting for about 25 minutes, go ahead and order the Roasted Chicken in Spanish Style, Smoked Duck Garlic and Fried Potatoes (RM 62). The chicken was moist and the charred give it extra flavours, and the smoked duck was packed with flavours. This is a dish that's worth waiting for!

Veal Rib Steak 300g (RM 128)
I wanted to have my usual tenderloin but decided to go a different direction, and ordered the Veal Rib Steak 300g (RM 128) and had it done medium rare. The veal was super tender and cooked to perfection. Compare to adult cattle, veal has less flavours in the meat, so it's suitable for those who prefer their meat to be less gamey. Instead of having it medium rare, I would advice to have it done at least medium because you would want the extra charring to give it more flavours.

Passion Fruit Parfait (RM 28)
Did not plan to have any desserts, but due to our heavy meal I've decided to have something sour to wash down all the food - Passion Fruit Parfait (RM 28). Passion fruit ice cream with cute marshmallows topped with mint leaves and drizzled with passion fruit sauce. It's really sour I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to have this after a heavy meal. The sourness of the passion fruit definitely helped a lot. I like the mint leaves as it's very refreshing.

Overall, the food at Graze wasn't too bad and the servers were very friendly. Do make your reservation before dropping by because they have limited seats. Want to know what other dishes they have? Check out here for their menu.

Graze is located on Level 5 (Mezzanine) in Hilton KL. From the main entrance, you can spot Graze on your left - it's directly above Chambers.
